Trappist Caskets wooden cremation urns are beautifully crafted using solid Oak, Walnut, and Cherry. Much of the wood is taken from our 1200 acre forest, which has been a part of New Melleray Abbey for over 150 years. Our way of life is grounded in prayer and is reflected in the way we make our urns and caskets. We begin with the highest quality wood available, looking for boards that have the most distinctive grain and color. Once assembled, a fine clear lacquer is applied, bringing out the rich natural rhythms of the grain.

Trappist Caskets offers custom engraving on all wooden cremation urns. Families may reflect the personality of the deceased by engraving the loved one's name, and dates of birth and death. An urns can also be engraved with a natural or religious symbol, a prayer, blessing, or even an image of the deceased - endless options are available. custom urn engraving starts at $65.
